The Forest Park 8th Grade boys basketball team came up just short in their season opener, falling 34–30 to PAC rival Heritage Hills. In a tough, physical matchup with multiple lead changes, the Rangers couldn’t quite close it out in the final minutes. Blake Vaught led Forest Park with 8 points, while Gavin Carroll and Hudson Lueken added 6 each. Additional scorers for Forest Park included Eli Ernst (4pts), Brydan O'Keefe (2pts), Easton Boeglin (2pts), and Reid Gehlhausen (2pts). The Rangers look to bounce back next Monday night when they travel to take on the Loogootee Lions.
