The 7th Grade Lady Rangers secured their first victory of the season Tuesday night, defeating Jasper 24–21 at home. Elsie Warren and Raylee Weyer paced the offense with 6 points apiece, while Maci Combs chipped in 4. Emma King, Annabelle Giesler, Lena Schmuecker, and Haylee Betz each added 2 points to round out a balanced scoring effort. Combs lead the team in rebounding with 6 (2 offensive), followed by Giesler’s 4 and Weyer’s 3. Giesler also sparked the defense with 5 steals, while Brooklyn Dooley and Combs added 2 each. Warren and Giesler paced the way in assists with 2 apiece. Despite committing 29 turnovers — 13 in the fourth quarter alone — the Lady Rangers showed resilience, holding off Jasper down the stretch to improve to 1-1 on the season. The Lady Rangers look to continue their momentum on Thursday with another home matchup against a tough Crawford County team.
