The Forest Park varsity wrestling team opened its season against Jasper on Thursday, taking some early challenges in a tough 66–12 loss. The Rangers’ highlights came from Tucker Wathen (120 lbs) and Clayton Rosener (157 lbs), who both earned pins to put Forest Park on the board. Outside of those two matches, the Rangers struggled to find momentum, being outscored 87–31 across all bouts and giving up five pins. While the results weren’t what the team hoped for, the dual gave the Rangers a clear look at the areas that need attention as they move deeper into the season. With plenty of time to improve, Forest Park will use this match as motivation and a starting point for growth. Forest Park’s JV wrestlers had a positive showing, picking up two wins on the night. Hunter Osborne (165 lbs) and Aidyn Weyer (165 lbs) both earned victories in their matches, giving the Rangers strong efforts in the undercard.
