FP 7th Grade Boys Basketball Lose A Game but Win B Game vs Perry Central The 7th Grade Boys A Basketball team played at Perry Central on Saturday morning. The Rangers lost to the Commodores 29-40. Forest Park turned the ball over a lot in the first half and the third quarter hurt the Rangers chances of staying in the game. The Rangers were unable to match Perry's size and effort on the offensive boards. FP got outrebounded, but the Rangers battled in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 points. Coach Hochgesang has preached becoming more physical and giving more effort, but the Commodores brought more of both on Saturday morning resulting in a FP loss. The Rangers A team looks to bounce back on Tuesday at Jasper. The Rangers came out with energy and scored 12 points to Perry's 5 points. Forest Park was able to score inside and get defensive stops. The first half ended with the Rangers winning 21-13. The third quarter for the B team was also not as good as Coach Nalley would have hoped, but the Rangers still had a 26-19 lead. Perry battled back to bring the game close, but the Rangers were able to finish the game strong and win 33-25. The Rangers had 6 different players score in the B game, and 3 players with 8+ points. The FP 7th Grade Boys B team is now 1-1 and look to get above .500 vs Jasper on Tuesday.
