7th Grade Boys Basketball Loses Heartbreaker to Pike Central The 7th Grade Forest Park Rangers Boys Basketball team had their first game in a week against the Chargers of Pike Central on Tuesday evening. The Rangers came out in this game with some energy and ended the 1st quarter up 13-7. With good pace and control in the first quarter, FP was able to get layups and one three pointer to have that quick start Coach Hochgesang has been asking for all season. The second quarter started with similar pace and the Rangers still having a 19-16 lead at halftime. FP had 5 guys score in the first half with Cash Lueken scoring 6 of those points. The 3rd quarter started and the Rangers came out flat. With turnovers picking up and baskets hard to find, the Rangers found themselves down 23-25 going into the 4th quarter. With a chip on their shoulders, the Rangers battled to come back and win this game, and had many chances to win the game/take the lead. Forest Park just couldn't get over the edge and lost by 2 points, 34-36. The Rangers had around their season average of 12 turnovers. FP looks to get back in the win column on Thursday at South Spencer. Scoring vs Pike Central: Cash Lueken : 13 points (one 3-pointer) Blake Morrison : 8 points (two 3-pointers) Michael Christmas : 7 points Declan Nord : 4 points Zander Reyling-Schwartz : 2 points
