7th Grade Lady Rangers Earn 10th Straight Win As They Head Into Christmas Break

The 7th grade Lady Rangers closed out the first half of their season in strong fashion Monday night, defeating Holy Trinity 28–23 at home in their final game before Christmas break. Madelyn Berg once again paced the offense, finishing with 15 points to lead all scorers. Raylee Weyer added 6, Maci Combs 3, and both Emma King and Lena Schmuecker chipped in 2 apiece. Weyer was strong on the glass, pulling down 11 rebounds (6 offensive). Berg grabbed 7 boards (4 offensive), while Annabelle Giesler battled for 3 offensive rebounds of her own. Haylee Betz and Elsie Warren each had 2 rebounds, and Combs and Brooklyn Dooley added 1 apiece. Berg and Warren each handed out 2 assists and King added another. Defensively, Giesler continued her strong play, leading the team with 2 steals and 4 deflections. Combs and Berg also had 2 steals each, while King and Warren added 1 apiece. The Lady Rangers’ had strong guard play, taking care of the ball throughout the night, committing only 7 turnovers as a team. With the win, the 7th grade Lady Rangers head into the holiday break at 10–1, rattling off ten straight victories after dropping their season opener at Fort Branch. They return to action on January 8 with a tough road matchup at Washington.
