Ferdinand, Ind. — The Forest Park 8th Grade Boys Rangers opened the new year with a strong home victory, defeating Washington 57–44. Forest Park set the tone early behind Easton Boeglin, who scored 14 of his game-high 18 points in the first half, and Brydan O’Keefe who scored 12 points in the game, including 4-4 from the line. The Rangers as a team were also sharp at the free-throw line, converting on 12 of 15 attempts (80%) for the game. That efficiency proved key in offsetting Washington’s outside shooting, as the Hatchets knocked down five three-pointers. The win improves Forest Park’s record to 7–5 overall and 7–1 in PAC Conference play. The Rangers return to action Thursday when they host Tecumseh for an A and B doubleheader.
