FP 7th Grade Boys Basketball went 1-1 vs Tecumseh with the B Team Winning The Forest Park 7th Grade Boys Basketball team traveled to Tecumseh on Thursday evening to play their second game of the week. The Rangers were looking to get back in the win column vs the Braves, but found out quickly that the Tecumseh A team was a talented team. With height, length, and speed, the Tecumseh Braves were tough to guard and get settled in on offense. The Rangers did not get out to a good start, and the Braves did. At the end of the first quarter, the Rangers were down 7-16 with Michael Christmas scoring all 7. The second quarter was worse on the offensive end and the defensive end for the Rangers. FP was only able to score 3 points compared to Tecumseh's 17. Cash Lueken scored those 3 points with his only 3-pointer of the game. The Rangers went into the lockerroom down 10-33. Coach Hochgesang went into the lockerroom and said, "Let's forget about that ugly first half. Our goal is to get better this half and just keep chipping away." Coach also said, "Pass to the guys in green and not the guys in white." Which gave the boys a few smiles, but Coach was serious considering the Rangers passed to the guys in white 11 times in the first half. The second half started and the Rangers couldn't score. FP scored their first points of the quarter with seconds left on the clock as Zander Reyling-Schwartz scored a layup. The Rangers were down 12-42 going into the fourth. FP was able to score 16 points in the fourth quarter due to the Braves putting in most of their B players. The Rangers ended up losing this game 28-48.
