8th Grade Ranger Boys Use Big Run to Knock Off Holy Trinity, 47–32

Ferdinand, Ind. — The Forest Park 8th Grade Boys Basketball team pulled away from Holy Trinity on Tuesday night, earning a 47–32 victory behind strong defense and timely shooting. The Rangers set the tone early, including a Gavin Carroll three-point buzzer-beater to close the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Rangers ramped up the defensive pressure and capitalized in transition, wearing down the Saints and building a 14-point halftime lead. Forest Park maintained control the rest of the way and never allowed Holy Trinity to mount a serious comeback. Easton Boeglin and Blake Vaught led the Rangers with 12 points apiece. The win improves Forest Park’s record to 9–5 overall (8–1 in PAC). The Rangers return to action Thursday evening when they host county rival Northeast Dubois for an A and B doubleheader.
