FP Rangers Varsity vs NORTH POSEY HIGH SCHOOL (56 - 53) Win The Lady Rangers travelled to North Posey on Thursday night to take on the Vikings. In a fast-paced game that featured plenty of offense, the Rangers prevailed. In an offensive battle in the first half, the Rangers were able to make enough shots to take a 36-27 lead into halftime. In the second half, the Vikings made it a game, cutting the Rangers' lead to 4 in the third quarter, before the Rangers stretched it back to 10 at the end of the third. The Vikings had another run in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead to 2 with about 45 seconds remaining. Avery Hill then blocked the Vikings' shot, giving the Rangers possession with 15 seconds remaining. The Vikings then fouled Mollie Combs, who was able to make a free throw to make it a three-point game. Avery Hill then blocked the Vikings' buzzer-beater attempt to give the Rangers the win. The Rangers will be back in action on Wednesday, February 4th, at 8 pm. This is the first round of the sectional, where the Rangers will take on the Mater Dei Wildcats at Tell City. The Rangers are coming into the sectional on a two-game win streak and hope to have Ranger Nation's support all of next week when they look to capture the sectional title.
