Jasper, Ind. — The 8th Grade Forest Park Boys Basketball team fell to Castle 38-51 in the opening round of the Jasper Tournament. With the cancellation of the PAC tournament last week due to winter weather, the loss ends the season for the Rangers, who finished the season with an overall record of 11-7 (9-1 PAC Conf.) with a 4-1 mark in B games this season. Castle was able to utilize a combination of speed, athleticism, and hot shooting to jump out to a 10 point lead after the first quarter. Although Castle’s speed and length limited the Rangers offense for most of the night, Forest Park battled hard in each quarter, even outscoring the Knights 17-6 in the 4th. Forest Park was led by Reid Gehlhausen with 10 points, Hudson Lueken with 9 points, and Kale King with 7 Pts. With the 8th grade season in the books, these Rangers will now seek to continue their winning ways at the high school level in the fall. FP Scoring: Reid Gehlhausen 10 Pts Hudson Lueken 9 Pts Kale King 7 Pts Easton Boeglin 4 Pts Gavin Carroll 4 Pts Brydan O’Keefe 2 Pts Koby Greulich 2 Pts Blake Vaught 0 Pts Gabe Aders 0 Pts Eli Ernst 0 Pts Collin Thomas 0 Pts Trey Benton 0 Pts
