The Varsity Baseball team battled on Tuesday night but couldn't keep pace with Evansville Memorial, falling 12-5 at home. Evansville Memorial struck first in the opening inning, using a double to take an early 1-0 lead. The Rangers answered in the second, when Eli Brockman executed a sac bunt to bring home the tying run and even the score at 1-1. The game shifted in the third inning, as Memorial put together a big offensive surge. A string of timely hits and productive outs led to four runs in the frame, giving the Tigers a lead they wouldn't lose. Forest Park continued to compete at the place, finishing the game with nine hits. Cam Lueken led the way with two RBIs, while Carter Jochem and Jared Burger each added mult-hit performances. On the mound, Hudson King battled through 4.2 innings, recording 2 strikeouts. The Rangers will look to bounce back on Friday as they travel to Bloomington South.
