Rangers Held Scoreless in Rain-Shortened Loss to Edgewood
By Zach Brosmer | Apr 4, 2026 5:43 PM
The Forest Park Rangers continued their road stretch on Saturday, falling to Edgewood 7-0 in a game that was called early due to rain. Edgewood got on the board in the second inning, using a single and a productive groundout to take an early 2-0 lead. The Rangers kept things within reach early, but the game shifted in the fourth inning when Edgewood put together a five-run frame to extend their advantage. Despite the shortened contest, the Rangers worked nine walks, with Carter Jochem, Jared Burger, and Cam Lueken each drawing two free passes. On the mound, Carter Jochem battled through three innings, allowing two runs while striking out two. Edgewood capitalized on timely hitting, collecting multiple hits and taking advantage of scoring opportunities before the weather cut the game short. Forest Park will look to bounce back as they hit the road again on Tuesday for a matchup with Gibson Southern.
