The Lady Ranger tennis team started the season off strong with 5-0 against the Paoli Rams! It was a beautiful opening day with the sun shining and 60 degree weather. This was a lot of the girls first Varsity match but they didn’t let their nerves shake them. Jenna Matthews at 3 singles has never played varsity but came out with a quick win without giving up any points. At 2 doubles, both Abba Collignon and Kenley Schipp are new to Varsity and also came out with a quick win. Varsity Scores: 1 Singles: Addison Schneider won in 2 sets against Morgan Flannery 6-2, 6-4 2 Singles: Sydney Berger won in 2 sets against Addie Payton 6-2, 6-1 3 Singles: Jenna Matthews won in 2 sets against Audrey Crowder 6-0, 6-0 1 Doubles: Bree Morrison and Anna Jahn won in 2 sets against Aurora Hays and Ava Hall 6-2, 6-1 2 Doubles: Abba Collignon and Kenley Schipp won in 2 sets against Audrey Hall and Natalie Coble 6-1, 6-0 They only had 2 JV players so Avari and Brynn played a quick set and did a fantastic job. Junior Varsity: 1 Doubles: Avari Boeglin and Brynn Vaught won in 1 set against Alba Miranda and Jozie Simcox 6-0 The Rangers are excited to start the season and will be playing Washington Catholic next on April 9th @ Washington Catholic.
