The Forest Park Rangers picked up a 4-1 win over Barr-Reeve on Wednesday, using a strong finish to break a late tie. Forest Park scored first in the third inning on a fielder’s choice to take a 1-0 lead. Barr-Reeve answered in the fourth, tying the game after a steal of home. The game remained tied until the seventh inning. That’s when the Rangers came through. Hudson King drove in a run with a single, and two more runs scored on a fielder’s choice and a groundout to make it 4-1. Forest Park held Barr-Reeve off the board the rest of the way. Jaxon Lueken started on the mound and allowed just one run over four and two-thirds innings. King came in to close and threw two and one-third scoreless innings. The Rangers finished with 11 hits. Lueken and Grant Fleck each had three hits, while Damion Kline added two. King led the team with two RBIs. Forest Park will travel to Northeast Dubois on Friday.
