10 girls advance to Track Regionals in 11 events, Meunier, Hinson, Hill, and Ebert claim sectional titles

The Lady Rangers didn't let the weather stop them tonight. They had a total team effort to finish in 2nd behind the strong Jasper Wildcats. These 16 girls came out focused and ready to compete with top level competition by advancing 10 girls in 11 different events. Ellie Meunier won the 400M dash to secure an individual title and was followed up by the 4 X 400 (Claudia Ebert, Avery Hill, Ellie Meunier and Riley Hinson) taking the title while securing a new sectional record that was set in 2015. Other Lady Rangers advancing to Regional next Tuesday are Ellie Meunier 2nd in the 100, Riley Hinson 2nd in the 200, 400, and pole vault, Ava Mohr 3rd in long jump and 5th in 100 hurdles, 4 X 800 relay 3rd consisting of Delainey Auffart, Mallory Morrison, Jalyn Schulz, Kendal Gehlhausen, Paige Memmer 3rd in shot put and Avery Hill 2nd in shot put, and Kendal Gehlhausen 4th in 800 and 1600. Other ladies scoring for the team include Claudia Ebert 6th in 100, Avery Hill 5th in 200, Felecia Eckert 7th in 100 hurdles and 7th in 300 hurdles, Olivia Wehr 8th in 300 hurdles, 4 X 100 relay 5th consisting of Kendal Fischer, Ava Mohr, Felecia Eckert, Claudia Ebert, Callie Hopf 8th in pole vault, Paige Memmer 5th in discus. What a season these ladies have had, but they are not done yet. They will compete at the Regionals held next Tuesday at Evansville Central. Let's see how many can punch their ticket to the state meet!
