The Rangers hit the road for one last time last night for the first round of sectionals against Southridge. Rangers fell short 1-4 but fought extremely hard, Jenna at 3 singles was able to secure a win for the team. With just playing the Raiders last week and falling short it was hard to go into another match with them also adding on a later start time and playing in Jaspers inside courts that have 4 but that didn’t deter the Rangers from playing with all they had. Addison at 1 singles played hard and left it all out on the court.Sydney at 2 singles was super close and didn’t make it easy. Bree and Anna 1 Doubles fought hard as well. Abba and Kenley at 2 doubles battled long and hard, they won the first set, lost the 2nd in a tie break and ultimately lost in a super tiebreak for the 3rd set but was a nail biter. 1 Singles: Addison Schneider lost in 2 sets against Riley Blessinger 0-6, 2-6 2 Singles: Sydney Berger lost in 2 sets against Elizabeth Mehringer 4-6, 3-6 3 Singles: Jenna Matthews won in 2 sets against Olivia Rasche 6-3, 6-4 1 Doubles: Bree Morrison and Anna Jahn lost in 2 sets against Reagan Anderson and Mya Menke 4-6, 0-6 2 Doubles: Abba Collignon and Kenley Schipp lost in 2 sets and a super tie break against Laney Bardwell and Ayden Kramer 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-13 The Lady Ranger Tennis team had another impeccable season and will truly miss the five seniors they are graduating; Addison Schneider, Bree Morrison, Anna Jahn, Abba Collignon and Nora Welp. These 5 seniors will do amazing things and we can’t wait to see it, thank you to the wonderful families and players this season!
