The Forest Park Rangers continued their strong stretch of play Wednesday night, defeating Princeton 8-1 behind a balanced effort at the plate and another strong outing on the mound. Forest Park wasted little time getting the offense going. In the first inning, Jaxon Lueken drove in the game’s opening run with a single before Hudson King followed with an RBI double. Riley Begle added to the big inning with a two-run single as the Rangers quickly built a 4-0 advantage. The Rangers kept the pressure on in the second inning. King delivered another RBI double down the right field line, and Cam Lueken followed with a run-scoring single to extend the lead. Forest Park finished with 13 hits in the win and had production throughout the lineup. Jared Burger and Grant Fleck led the way with three hits, continuing his strong offensive stretch. King and Begle each drove in two runs. Jaxon Lueken added multiple hits and created pressure on the bases with two stolen bases. On the mound, Carter Jochem turned in another solid performance for the Rangers. The senior worked six innings, allowing just one run while helping Forest Park stay in control throughout the night. Damion Kline closed things out with a scoreless inning in relief, striking out two. The Rangers also played strong defensively, turning a double play during the game. With the win, Forest Park continued its late-season momentum and will travel to Castle on Thursday for its next matchup.
