Forest Park junior Hudson King has been selected to participate in the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) Futures Game, an honor that recognizes some of Indiana's top underclassmen and future stars of high school baseball. King earned the selection after an outstanding all-around season for the Rangers, making a significant impact both at the plate and on the mound. Offensively, King hit .298 while collecting 25 hits, including 11 doubles, one triple, and three home runs. He drove in 30 runs, scored 17 times, and posted a .940 OPS, emerging as one of the Rangers' most dangerous middle-of-the-order hitters. His ability to hit for both average and power helped fuel Forest Park's offense throughout the season. On the mound, King served as one of the Rangers' top starters, compiling a 5-4 record with a 3.16 ERA over 55.1 innings pitched. He struck out 41 batters while holding opposing hitters to a .246 batting average and consistently gave Forest Park quality innings against some of the area's top competition. King's combination of offensive production, pitching success, and competitiveness made him one of the most complete players in Southern Indiana this season. His selection to the IHSBCA Futures Game is a testament to the hard work he has invested in his development and highlights the bright future that lies ahead for the Ranger standout. With another season still remaining in a Forest Park uniform, King will look to build on an impressive junior campaign as he continues to establish himself among the state's top players in the Class of 2027.
