On Tuesday, the Lady Rangers traveled to undefeated PAC foe Heritage Hills Lady Patriots for a top-ten (ranked) match-up. The match was delayed to 7:30 due to excessive heat warnings; however, that would not stop the visiting Lady Rangers from asking questions from the jump. The visitors amassed several speculative attempts in the first period, but were unable to break the Lady Patriot Defense. Likewise, the Lady Rangers remained steadfast in their resolve to shut-down any attack. The match would be scoreless at the break. In the second half, the Lady Patriots amped-up their offensive attempts, but the backline of the Lady Rangers thwarted any and all attempts. In the 53' minute, senior Avari Boeglin played a corner kick, which was chested down by junior Sophia Hubbs to the waiting feet of senior Brynn Vaught, which would be the game-winning-goal. The Lady Rangers (4-1-1; 3-0(PAC)) are back in action on Thursday, when they welcome PAC opponent Southridge to Best Home Furnishings Stadium.
