Junior High Boys Soccer Honors Eighth Graders Against Tell City Before their game against Tell City on Friday, September 11th, the Forest Park community honored the thirteen eighth grade players and those who died twenty-five years earlier in the September 11th attack. During the game, the Rangers were able to control the run of play from start to finish. Zach Cummings was dangerous down the right side early in the game and started the scoring when he sent a cross to Zander Reyling-Schwartz who made a nice finish to give the Rangers an early lead. Clark Welp scored the next two goals with assists from Brennan Grissom and Bentley Mohr. Ryder Winters scored the fourth goal when Sam Ernst sent another cross from Cummings across the box for Winters to finish. William Schemenauer capped the first half scoring with a great free kick strike from just outside the corner of the eighteen. The Rangers added to the score in the second half with goals from Sam Ernst and Blake Vaught with assists from Clark Welp and Hunter Lange. The Rangers defense earned their first shut out of the season. Gaige Schnell and Owen Haas took turns in goal, with Blake Vaught, Zach Cummings, Bentley Mohr, Zayden Frick, Jarrett Verkamp, Galdino Cruz Mora, Carter Beier, and Liam Cooper all contributing defensively. The Rangers won 7-0.
