The Rangers traveled to Jasper’s Youth Sports Complex today to compete in the Sectional Championship. The girls got the day started with a 5th-place finish, punching their ticket to the Regional meet! Great job, girls! In the boys race, the Rangers finished 8th overall. Jace Wright, Casey Steczyk, Marcus Berg, and Mason Cheek qualified for the Regional meet as individuals by finishing among the top 15 runners from non-advancing teams! While their seasons ended today, three Rangers deserve special recognition: Xavier Berg narrowly missed qualifying for Regionals by just two places. I’m so proud of the grit and determination he has shown throughout his recovery from his accident seven months ago. Mason Schnarr wrapped up his season today, and I’m incredibly proud of the leadership he provided throughout the season. Thank you, Mason, for setting a great example for your teammates! Carter Drew set a new personal record in almost every competition this season! He opened the season with a 25:06 and finished today with another PR of 21:23—an improvement of 3 minutes and 43 seconds! The Regional Championship is next Saturday at Crawford County High School. Great job, Rangers!
