The Forest Park Boys Tennis team finished their season with a banquet on Sunday evening to go over the season and the awards for the season. The Rangers went 10-8 and won their first sectional game in over 6 years. The Rangers had an up and down year, but they finished with a winning record. The team consisted of 2 Seniors (Eli Brockman and Clayton Roesner), 1 Junior (Colton Osborn), 6 Sophomores (Jace Brockman, Miles Rea, Drew Fischer, Jace Betz, Preston Englert, and Brayton Fromme), and 4 Freshmen (Parker Schnarr, Trey Benton, Harrison Gutgsell, and Zaden Fromme). With a young team, Coach Hochgesang was happy about how the season went and looks forward to the future. The Rangers will be losing their 1 Doubles team and two Seniors in Eli Brockman and Clayton Roesner though. Clayton joined the tennis team his Junior year and improved so much over those two years. He had a career record of 25-15. Clayton was always in a positive mood and respected his coaches, teammates, and opponents. Eli Brockman played all 4 years of his High School. Eli played Varsity all 4 years and was a big part of the success in FP Tennis. Eli ended his career with an amazing record of 55-27. Both of these Seniors will be missed!
