August 27, 2025 — Forest Park, IN — The Forest Park Rangers suffered their first conference defeat of the season on Tuesday afternoon, falling 3-0 to visiting Heritage Hills High School in their home opener. The match began with promising energy from both sides, but it was the Patriots who struck first, capitalizing on a set piece in the 23rd minute. A well-placed free kick into the box was met with a header, putting Heritage Hill ahead 1-0. Forest Park had a few chances to respond in the first half, with three shots coming from Parker Wolf and Hunter Osborne. Wolf’s attempt went wide, while Osborne saw one shot sail over the bar and another stopped by the Patriots’ keeper. Both teams earned one corner kick apiece in the opening 40 minutes. Dexter Meyer kept the Rangers in the match with two key saves in the first half, but Forest Park went into halftime trailing by a goal. The second half saw Heritage Hills pull away. The Patriots doubled their lead in the 44th minute and sealed the result with a third goal in the 64th. Forest Park continued to press forward, recording three more shots in the half, but couldn’t find the breakthrough. With the loss, the Rangers drop to 2-1 in conference play. They’ll look to bounce back this Saturday, August 30, when they travel to face Wood Memorial. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM.
