On Thursday, the Lady Rangers were back home at Cedar Crest Intermediate, where they looked to rebound from their poor performance at Providence earlier in the week. Rebound and respond they did! Despite maintaining the lion's share of possession in the opening stanza, they were unable to get by the stalwart Tiger keeper and the resolute defense; however, they persisted. The Lady Rangers were able to secure their first courtesy of senior Riley Hinson assisted by Paige Memmer. Senior Sydney Bettag got her first of two in the 37' with a right-footed shot from 25 yards out. One minute later, senior Kate Pund got the third assisted by Paige Memmer and just moments later Sydney Bettag bagged her brace with an incredible side-footed flick over the head of the Tiger keeper from a Paige Memmer headed-assist. The Lady Rangers would go into the break with 4 goals to the good. After the break, the Lady Rangers picked-up where they left off. Their 5th was scored in the 47' on a senior-to-senior connection: Riley Hinson to Kate Pund. Three minutes later, Paige Memmer got her first with some outstanding individual play, culminating in a 30 yard rifled-shot. At the hour-mark, Memmer bagged her brace with pirouette and left-footed shot from just outside the 18 to cap-off the scoring for the Lady Rangers. They are back in action Saturday, when they travel to North Harrison High School for a 10:00AM kick-off.
