The Lady Rangers welcomed PAC Rival Pike Central to Best Home Furnishings Stadium Saturday for a hotly contested Pocket Athletic Conference match. The Lady Rangers got off to an early lead courtesy of Lily Muller, who was able to play a ball towards the Charger Keeper who miskicked it into her own net. Although the Lady Rangers asked questions, they were unable to find the back of the net for the remainder of the period. In the second half, the home side resumed pressure and possession. In the 45' senior Kate Pund collected a pass from freshman Makenna Morrison and hit a half-volley past the Charger Keeper to put the Lady Rangers up 2-0. In the 63' Aurora Jacob collected a looping ball from Jaida Verkamp which was placed just past the keeper. With less than one minute remaining, Kenley Schipp found the shoulder of Makenna Morrison for the final goal from a corner kick. The Lady Rangers are back in action Monday, when they travel to Northeast Dubois High School for a 5:30PM kick-off. Goals: Aurora Jacob, Makenna Morrison, Kate Pund, and (OG Pike Central) Assists: Makenna Morrison, Lily Muller, Kenley Schipp, Jaida Verkamp Record: 9-1 (8-0 PAC)
