On Monday, the Lady Rangers traveled to Northeast Dubois High School for a rematch of last year's sectional championship. The visitors wasted little time after applying heavy pressure to the Lady Jeeps back line. Paige Memmer collected a ball at the midline and proceeded to beat two center backs and the keeper on her way to a far-bar finish to put the Lady Rangers up 1-0. The score remained unchanged at the break, despite the multiple attempts from the Lady Rangers. After some tactical halftime adjustments, the Lady Rangers opted for a more methodical approach and were to able to enjoy the lion's share of possession in the second stanza. The breakthrough finally came in the 57' when freshman Makenna Morrison was able to find senior Anna Muller for a tap-in. The Lady Rangers were able to repel any attacks from the home-side enroute to a 2-0 road win. The Lady Rangers are back in action Thursday at Cedar Crest Intermediate School for a PAC showdown and Senior Night against Gibson Southern. The varsity fixture is slated for a 6:00PM (EST) kick-off with JV to follow. Senior Night festivities will begin at 5:45PM (EST).
