JH Boys Win Against Pike Central

On Tuesday, September 16th, the Varsity Rangers hosted Pike Central V. Forest Park scored two goals in the first half to take the lead. Andrew Wilmes assisted Bryson Becher for the first goal and Max Werne assisted Blake Vaught for the second goal. While the Rangers were able to maintain possession in the second half, Pike Central defenders and goalie kept the Rangers out of goal. Pike Central sent repeated through balls to their strong, speedy forward, and finally found the net in the middle of the second half to make the game exciting. Pike Central continued to push for the equalizer late in the second half, but Forest Park defenders Gavin Carroll and Easton Boeglin were persistent in slowing down the attack and goalie Eli Ernst made some huge late game saves to help the Rangers hold on for a 2-1 victory. JH Boys Soccer JV Hosts Pike Central JV On Tuesday, September 16th, the Rangers won 2-1 in a hard fought, physical game against Pike Central JV. Ryder Winters scored both goals from corner kicks. In the first half, he received a corner kick from William Schemenauer and finished with his left foot. In the second half, he received a corner kick from Blake Morrison and finished with his right foot. In the second half, Zayden Frick helped to neutralize a speedy Pike Central attacker to keep Pike Central away from goal.
