The Forest Park Rangers traveled to Evansville North on Thursday night, facing a tough challenge against the #20-ranked Huskies in Class 3A. From the opening whistle, North controlled the match, applying relentless pressure and testing the Rangers’ defense early and often. The Huskies struck quickly and continued to pour on the attack, netting six goals in the first half. Forest Park struggled to maintain possession and was unable to slow down North’s pace and precision. After halftime, the Rangers settled into the match and found more time on the ball, but despite the improvement in possession, they were unable to create scoring chances to test the Huskies’ keeper. North added three more goals in the second half, sealing a 9-0 result. With the loss, Forest Park drops to 5-7 on the season. The Rangers will look to regroup quickly as they return home on Saturday for a PAC matchup against South Spencer. Kickoff is set for 12:45 p.m. at Cedar Crest.
